What is Your "Why?"

What is Your Why

There are many “to-dos” I have been meaning to get to for the last few months but never had the time. I am looking for the little things that are good and finally checking things off and improving how Northwest Brand Design can communicate with the world and serve all of you is definitely a good thing.

My focus is leaving things better than I found them and creating beauty in the world.

My purpose is empowering entrepreneurs through strategic design and powerful communication.

My why is helping people reach their potential and make their dreams a reality, (hello, Enneagram Type 2.)

How have you taken this time to slow down and reevaluate your “why?”

That can cover everything from business to how we buy groceries and connect with the people in our lives. Nothing about the last couple of years has been familiar to anyone and we have all been challenged to slow down and think about our behavior and what is next.

If you are a business owner, I encourage you to take some time and think about your “why?” If this is something you haven’t had time to think about for a while, like many of us during the busy season, this will target your next steps and refocus your business on your mission and how you can communicate that with your customers or clients. Now, more than ever, the way we communicate to our audience is critical. It is no secret that audiences identify with brands and have loyalty for the brands they connect with.

Check in with yourself and ask these questions:

  • Does my website represent my “why?”

  • Am I communicating my purpose with my audience?

  • Is it clear what I have to offer in this uncertain time?

  • How can I help my business?

  • How can I serve my audience?

  • Do I have a plan for how to move forward with digital communication as we ride out this storm?

  • Do I have a strong digital presence? How can I improve?

  • Can I bring some of my business online?

We have some time to slow down and reinvest in forgotten “to-do’s.” We can clarify and strengthen our brands and communication. We have an opportunity to serve and connect with our audiences online like never before. If any of the questions above have your gears turning and I can help in any way, reach out!
